React Job: Team Lead-Developer

Teal is a startup that allows SMB platforms to offer accounting software to their SMB customers. Our mission is to build a profitable business, and our strategy is to win with boring competence.

Our product consists of REST APIs and documentation that our enterprise customers use to build accounting solutions for their small business customers. Our focus is on using boring languages and infrastructure to build our product as simply as possible. We currently use Python, Flask, React, Next.js, Docker, and Amazon CDK.

We’re hiring a dev lead to hire and lead our team of developers. We’re looking for someone who will be uncompromising in upholding our standards for competence and boringness. We’re a small team, so this role involves both managing others, and contributing code as an individual.

We are offering a salary of $325-375k (CAD) plus stock options.

We’re looking for people of exceptional competence. No specific qualifications are required. However, in order to make best use of our interviewers’ (and candidates’) time, we are inviting to our interview process only candidates with 7 or more years of professional software development experience.
